Off topic for sure, but this is what I see wrong with part of the player base. They want the drops from coil, they want to do the content. But they don't want to actually DO the content, they go out of their way to cheese encounters so they don't need to learn it.Maybe so, I just recall one time, we pugged two people for our coil static in the past through party finder. We had one week, before they removed the lockouts, that two people were out of town. So they got two more through party finder, and good to go right?
With the static group, they usually just passed rot for turn 2, because it was just faster that way (don't have to sit there for 7 minutes). So they asked the people they got in party finder: "so you guys know how to pass rot right?". They both said yes.
Well, long story short, the group wipes in short order, with: "We thought you said you knew how to pass rot!" and they both said: "Rot?" They also stood in the green puddles in turn 1, which started a meme in our free company that the green puddles buff you in turn one, but *only* if you pop blood for blood while standing in them.
The only reason it fails so often is because most DPS aren't used to having responsibilities. When we ran rot, I would be #3 as a BRD. Take rot from 1st healer, pass rot to 2nd healer all while silencing HV's and calling it out in vchat. Some people just can't multitask I guess..

Yeah. I've done it as everything but melee, and when I tanked it, both tanks were Paladins on silence duty, so we had to keep track of swaps and silences at the same time. I would pass as a healer, not have it taken from me as well. The only reason it fails so often is because most DPS aren't used to having responsibilities. When we ran rot, I would be #3 as a BRD. I think the only time I can remember having trouble passing rot was when I had to interrupt, pass my rot and also go over to pick up rot from some other dps that felt that moving was too much of a dps loss for them (but my dps loss was fine of course, they were also a bard btw).
I didn't blow people up that run, but i did miss one interrupt... I blame people for having too much faith in my abilities! We still killed it I believe, but they were like "Ermagerd, wow, such voltage, very high!"
To answer your question, yes there was a party finder for turn 2 that was doing allagan rot on my server. They labeled it speed runs, but it's because we were doing it the traditional way which is much faster. The guy who started it was a whm and he hadn't done rot before, but it didn't matter because it was easy to explain.
But it is rare to see a turn 2 party that is not enrage. But it's nice to be able to do 5 runs within 40 minutes!

Most turn 2 farm PF listings are for Rot on my server and they say this in the description. When we do Enrage method, we say this in the description. It's best not to assume anything but to spell everything out in the description.![]()
