I've been asking for a "filter tells by level" option for 3 months now (some in the forums, mostly in-game). I'm quite disappointed that the only way to block RMT tells is to block all direct interaction with others (/busy on). I don't think SE really cares about such a thing because they want as many people as possible to report RMT. I was done with wasting my time on that a couple months ago though. I actually tracked how much time I spent on making proper, detailed reports on all RMT for one weekend. I spent roughly 10% of my total game time on reports!

Until they give us a choice, I will continue to only "/busy off" when I absolutely have to. The rest of the time, I'm "/busy on".....

There can be ways around it. And SHOULD be ways around it. If you add someone to your friends list, for example, that would be a great bypass. Or if people are sending tells be right clicking you in town, that's at least somewhat hard to abuse.

But tell-spamming the player finder is just stupid.

i think the 24 hours logged-in time is a little over the top.

however the level 10 thing would be decent. but at the same time it should be completely optional. and also should be defaulted to off.

on a side-note... shouldn't this be like the user interface section? meh. oh well.

Oh, I have no illusions about this, I am quite sure that they would figure out the best possible way to slam a character to level 10 in an hour or two, tops.

I mean, it's open to debate, but having a hard limit in there would put a minimum-time limit on people able to send mass tells. Forcing them to waste an entire day idling will disrupt them a LOT more than forcing them to simply slam up a bunch of new characters with FATE spam or whatever.

either way. it won't make much any difference. either or both methods will shortly become ineffective. as for the level counter-measure. it will only take some odd amount rotations before their advertisement rates go back to normal. as for the time restriction. it will only take the sellers to simply store back some odd amount of accounts. accounts that won't have any infractions. after a certain period of time their advertising will back to normal.

i seriously hate it that i cant go 10 minutes with out getting a tell from a gil seller...

if i could wave a magic wand and have a way to permanently deal with them it would be:
a report Gil seller option when selecting a name of a person who has sent you a tell. if that person racks up enough reports.
the whole account and credit card tied to the account god maybe even the IP address become banned.

i want it to stop... im tired of ads in my face where ever i go in real life and in game... i dont want to buy your gum, i dont want to buy your shitty shampoo, and i for sure as shit DO NOT WANT TO BUY YOUR GIL.

True, but then they have to actually LEVEL a bunch of accounts, and idle them for a period of time. If they do that idle ALL AT ONCE- it could trip a server alarm, since how many REAL level 1-10 characters stay online 24 hours straight?
