Because your female lalafel doesnt really have 6-pack abs, it's just the design of the gear, you know similar to how roman and greek armor were sometimes formed to resemble the body? But if you want to get technical about it, tanking and other physical classes would realistically chisel one's physique to be more muscular... and females would not be exempt from this fact. But all in all it's just part of the design of the armor.

And lazy? You do realize quite a bit of work goes into creating gear for an MMO, especially games that have multiple sizes of PCs including adjustments for height. It's actually quite ridiculous to ask an art team to create different sets of armor also based on gender for every class/race combo.

Armors made for females, even in greek-style armors, were generally given breast room, and were designed to look like breasts rather than male pectoral muscles. further, they were more form fitting. I understand that lots of work goes into making gear, (edit)but even the general everyday joe-shmoe MMO gives each race/gender a unique variation to each set of gear to add both personality and charm to the characters in the game. so I'll accept it... but I do agree with the OP. I would go further, though, by saying I personally wouldn't mind waiting longer for new looking gear.(edit end)

I would even say that it's a broad problem encompassing newer Body-gear. Even the Armor of Light has pectorals drawn on the female version, and a very male-shaped torso in general-- it would be nice if it was at least more form-fitting on females, and had a somewhat more feminine design on the body piece. Body-gears, for most armors coming after 2.0, have very little variation between the genders, if any. I guess it would just take too long to make it out on their schedule...

I hope the devs think about this kinda thing for future gear, though.
