Guildleves don't disguise grind. It's just an attempt to justify it.

why cant grinding be the back bone of progression while other things that also level you up (like campaign style behest and that) could compensate for when you want to solo (even though it would hopefully give you less exp than a pt) even if by what i mean "solo" is where ppl come together without any fore thought and no need to rly group up to do something yes i rly enjoyed campaign in ff11 so i refer to it alot and thats kinda what i mean just have alot of things like that on the side to also progress ppl at a slower pace yet get ppl out of that constant grind

Its more than just moving from area to area... It's about understanding the world and the story.... Something repeatable... enjoyable... groupable.. unlocks other things... Has big rewards
I love a good run-on sentence as much as the next person, but... wtf?why cant grinding be the back bone of progression while other things that also level you up (like campaign style behest and that) could compensate for when you want to solo (even though it would hopefully give you less exp than a pt) even if by what i mean "solo" is where ppl come together without any fore thought and no need to rly group up to do something yes i rly enjoyed campaign in ff11 so i refer to it alot and thats kinda what i mean just have alot of things like that on the side to also progress ppl at a slower pace yet get ppl out of that constant grind
Anyway, I think SE uses guildleves as a safety cushion for their lack of content. If they make grinding accessible and lucrative enough, then people won't complain about it. Little do they know that leves are so lifeless and repetetive that traditional party grind is more preferable.
Well maybe if SE had a glowing track record with the guildleve system then people wouldn't be so hesitant to give it a second chance.
just trying to say something on a game forum :| y does grammer matter? i mean its a forum -.-I love a good run-on sentence as much as the next person, but... wtf?

but is what u said any good? they made something so bad that a horrible battle system party set up may be prefered over it? all im saying is a good party back bone like 11 that has clear goals like 1-10 for a certain zone than 11-20 for another 21+ u have to start partying all back to the first comment this is all based off the other forum guys saying
EDIT: while still having side stuff to do so its not like in ur face u have to do this partying becuase yes not every1 will love what i just said above the edit and this could be their way of going to end game

I totally agree that the party system in FFXI was better. If they wanted to improve it, perhaps they should have made a more convenient party-finder application (something like dungeon finder from WoW and Rift, but for parties). This way people could actually enjoy the style of gameplay FFXI offered without all the tedium.
I don't really like any kind of grinding, but at least FFXI was natural about it.
FFXIV is just so contrived and fake and stupid.
ya i hate most everything about ff14 pts from the roaming to the hp/mp regen for just not being in a battle and the command thingie in ff11 i was a rdm thf and blm at 75 i was good at those jobs and i never once used a macro and this game is forcing me to kinda use them and i hate it :| but thats off topic and kinda bashingOkay, I'm just going to pretend you're on my side so I can agree with you.

Leves are fine and good if they can
A) balance the SP (there is a reason everyone does leves in Thanalan..) no one wants to take Gnats over dunesfolk ect...
B) Allow us to select the full list (partial lists just lead to failing over and over...)
