One thing you need to know about the Final Fantasy MMO Community is that its been Elitist since FFXI days, and I doubt not having a parser is going to change that.

Using third-party programs, parsers, or other tools to conduct actions players would not normally be able to do in the game is a violation of the Terms of Service, and will be dealt with strict disciplinary action.
They specifically say parsers.
Guess they're not going to allow parsing whenever/if ever they make it possible for player add-ons lol
except the announcement didn't say using parsers is a violation of the TOS like your use of bold suggests. the important part of the message is the part you left unbold... "to conduct actions players would not normally be able to do in the game."Using third-party programs, parsers, or other tools to conduct actions players would not normally be able to do in the game is a violation of the Terms of Service, and will be dealt with strict disciplinary action.

It will be nice if people will use parser also to help or to fix fight tactics issues: but this is a casual MMORPG with FF quotes around, not anymore the old and good FFXI with its really nice community, so we find trolls/kids everywhere, hard to handle with that.
Even that, I appreciated 2.2 updates especially in the main quest scenario, finally a dual wield job appeared. Let's hope for a better future.

And kicking people simply for not knowing or not always being able to do their rotations is the solution? Why not instead of using a parser as a tool to "judge" if people should be kicked for not doing your personal view of "maximum" damage output or perfectly doing rotations, you use it as a way to offer constructive criticism and help people to realize their dps is not as good as it could be, or that they need to attempt to follow their rotations better/learn their rotations in general if they don't know them.
But nah, kicking people for it is easier, isn't it.
Different skill/dps is normal and it shows us we're not all robots, luckly. The trouble is when someone not sure on what to do join a farm pt even if there's "no learning" tag in the comment (often overused, btw).

Guess we will have to just wait until when they have supported addons. They don't like 3rd party programs reading FFXIV's memory. They could care less if it's a parser or a lala tickler. That is what they are referring to that says it goes against the TOS.
It has been quoted of the devs in another thread that offical addons are coming in the near future. Official parsers will be one of them. Sorry, but you'll have to live with it when it comes out.

I was in a Levi Ex party yesterday and one person posted a link to a program that apparently changed the camera angles so you could zoo
out further than normal. I didn't download it cause I prefer not to use 3rd party programs (do t5 with focus target, not app).
I assume that this program is also something ban worthy?
Pretty sure it would take less than 5 minutes to quickly explain to someone what they should be doing, and a farming group (from my experience) hardly ever needs optimal rotation usage.
That's kind of sounding like a poor excuse to use a parser as an abusive tool. I want to believe that's not the case, but that's just how it's coming out to me, personally.
