Non-crafters only: Are you happy with the vanity system?

Well for one, prices will come down. They've already settled here on Hyperion: about 2k per prism, which isn't a bad price, and easily affordable with all the ways to make money anymore.

As for leveling a crafter, it's actually quite profitable with all the money you get from spamming leve's (which is the best way to level crafting), and if you don't want to level a gathering profession, level LTW first, as you get most of the mats for that through your battle class. Further, make one of your retainers a gathering class, send them on ventures, and you get free, easy mats there as well.


Yes, the glamour system 'is' a bit convoluted, as 5 ranks per crafting type doesn't really benefit anyone or serve any blatant purpose. They all take the same mats after all. And yes, I'd love to be able to save glamour sets rather then get new prisms to re-glamour if I want to switch back and forth... but overall, it does make the system feel more involved rather then forgettable. It's not something you can take for granted.
