I think most people are complaining over the RNG factor than the grinding part. You don't see too many people complaining about the 13.5k mytho for the books nor the stuff you need to do per book for that tiny stats boost, do you? I do like the ideal of getting Atmas from FATEs since it make the open world more lively and potentially help out the new players to gain some levels, and we do get FC seals from it as well. I think all we need is a little boost on the drop rate (either flat increase or linear increase over time as you stay active in the zone) and everything will be good to go.

Spending 10+ hours in one zone running back and forth on fate is not a way to accomplish this, I rather go thru it like the 1st relic was.
I did try this and I felt burnt out after an hour of fate and nothing to show for it....

Yes, because at least with that there would be a progress bar you could see going up, rather than never knowing when you'll get your next drop, and watching the lucky people get theirs quickly while you keep grinding for hours and hours without getting yours.

I dunno, a guy in my FC is working on his 4th, while I only have 1 drop on my first with about the same amounts of grinding.

True, but i've been asking, and very few are gonna try to get a second relic atma because this stupid RNG. So mostly we'll have a lot of fate grind for 2-3 more weeks. Then, everyone will get their 12 atmas (i hope so, good luck, guys! ^^/) and everything will be back to how it was before 2.2 patch

Yes and no, as Calyanare sais; At least you get to see some progress instead of hoping the RNG favors you instead of the guy that managed to get a single punch in at the last second of the first FATE they joined after entering the zone.
Content is debatable, personally I think that even though people highly dislike FATEs they chose the right content for it as it is accessible to everyone.
But as I said before, I too would like to see a more honest distribution.

THIS. I got my 12 atmas in less than 2 days, now i have my atma weapong and clearing my 2nd book and i'm feeling GUILTY because my fc mates are still going for their 4-5 atma... it's wrong, really really wrong...

I don't know why ppl are complaining about the atma farming? I thought we all were looking for something to do? something that wouldn't be easy to finish/accomplish, something more challenging that would feel like an achievement/accomplish that we worked hard for?

Nope, not what I asked for, also not what anyone asked for. Giving us something to do is good, but not with RNG, why do some people deserver to get an atma after doing 5 ish fates in the area while others have to do 50 +?

Yup, I was just joking with my FC today, saying I'm a collector myself, but I'm not too sure if I wanna get all 9 Atma weapon for all the jobs though (excluding the books). It will be interesting to see which is faster, to get 9 Levi mirrors or 108 Atmas lol.

i finally got mine well i desided to do it on my alt… STUPID ME.. never the less … some areas i walked into first fate bang atma piece 2 i grinded for 6 hours+ each .. I've double up on 3 being a fairly nice person i stayed in a area to help a few ppl i grouped with only to get another atma piece with in 1 or 2 fates after i just got 1 feeling bad that would that piece have dropped for the very person i was trying to help!!! not to mention the typos in the quest log .. really they already give us a ridiculous long grind for some and they can't even give us the right areas to farm in ...thats just taking the piss... no trading of them would i guess could be viewed in 2 ways!!

Put an upper cap (say...50) on the number of fates needed to get the Atma.
- Get it early, lucky you.
- Get it on the 50th, at least there is an "end" to it.
