No; you're intentionally avoiding reading anything i've already written about it. Stay out of feedback threads to the developers if you're just going to fill them up with spam posts and self-superior preening.

what the hell.... you need help. professional help. either that or you're just an angry person. either way you're going straight to my ignore list.
Ok, you know, i'm feeling generous. So, here.so if you're soooo much smarter than I am... what is the difference between our positions? enlighten me. how is what you're saying different than me saying the problem with the atma quest is that people can't see the finish line? you want an atma quest with "achievable, consistent goals." I would like an atma quest with a finish line in sight. if you're so amazing, tell me how those two things are different? teach me oh wise Norelle.
... To which you respond;
... So here's some useful reading material for you!

The problem is that you CANNOT work to reach the finish line; rather, if you reach it, it was not through work, but through processes external to your own labor upon which you have no input whatsoever.The gambler's fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy or the fallacy of the maturity of chances, is the mistaken belief that if something happens more frequently than normal during some period, then it will happen less frequently in the future (presumably as a means of balancing nature). In situations where what is being observed is truly random (i.e. independent trials of a random process), this belief, though appealing to the human mind, is false.
If you think that's the same as just putting in the time, then I think you should not book vacations to Vegas at any time in the future, not to put too fine a point on it.

Here's a thought, don't grind Atma so hard that you get frustrated. There's so much other stuff to do in game it's ridiculous.
Mostgly its a "time killer". You arent supposed to spend all your time on it, just an hour here and there when you got nothin better going on (like standing around in Mor Dhona). There is more than enough time to get this all done.
So much truth in this, that is how I farm my atma, and well I have completed mine since started doing it on and off a day after patch.
I do not feel burn since I did not continuously farm for hours, I get to enjoy other contents while farming it.
My FC's dragoon has 8 atma. Since the last time he updated us, three days ago when he had one atma (which took somewhere between one and two hours, because he got frustrated that they weren't dropping for him, even though they WERE and he missed the notification so some of us ended up with up to FOUR), he's had a total of maybe ten hours where we didn't know exactly where he was and what he was doing.
The drop rate is fine. If you don't like it, just don't get atma. Nobody's forcing you. Go get a leviathan or soldiery weapon. For most classes they're better anyway.

Hey! quick thought exercise for everyone in these threads mentioning how fast they got their atma; if like, hundreds of people were posting that a major plot progression quest was simply broken, they couldn't turn it in, mobs wouldn't spawn, etc. but it had worked for you when you tried... would you feel the need to jump in and ask what all the whiners were complaining about?
No? Because that would be incredibly redundant, condescending and stupid? Cool! Please keep it in mind in the future, and thanks in advance.
Ok so I guess I'm not allowed to disagree with you because that would be condescending. But the drop rate is still fine. This is a quest meant to take months and some people already have multiple atmas after a week. You don't see me whining that I still haven't gotten a titanic sawfish. It's frustrating, but it's there, I know I can get it, and I just have to keep trying because I don't expect everything to be handed to me on a silver platter.
