    You gotta rehire all your retainers from any character that had them.
    Take all your items out of the Calamity Salvager.
    Accept the first quest(s)... just to be safe, follow the intro quests till it asks you to atune to the Aetheryte.
    Shouldn't be in a FC or have signed a petition for one.

    Umm... can't remember any other "tricky" details.

    Oh ok I'll try this. I don't quite remember what it means, it's been so long. I guess go to the person where I purchase a retainer and my old one will pop up for rehire?
