that's a terrible idea because range will screw you every time. you're going to be on 6 tank oils before you ever get the 4th DPS one.

you're actually saying players can't be trusted to not screw over other players every chance they get so we have to be protected from each other.

Remember how fast all of us are i90? From Dec-2.2 it seemed like everybody was i90, most of us had 2-3 full i90 classes....lets not do that again with i110.
Ideally, progression would be fast enough and structured in such a way so that an active progression player can have, at the least, one viable Tank class, one viable Healing class, and one viable DPS class, so no, slowing progression is not a good thing.

this game have...as main selling point... that we can play more than one class! then if we need all the time of a tier for equip only one class... what the point of the armory system? please tell me?

Of our groups 6 pieces of 2nd coil gear, 4 have been for healer and 2 have been for tank. FMFFL.

(I'm a healer btw, but I still recognize that dps have way more priority for gear drops. DPS got the oil and tomestone at least.)

why? You want to speed up progression so you can be fully geared in a couple of weeks? I still think the tome cap should be 300 not 450. No one in this game needs to be full i110 anytime soon, everybody just wants it. And assuming SE plan is to allow sands/oil/unidentified to be obtained in multiple ways come 2.3, then I like that for at least 3 months, progression will be slowed for everyone. 2.1 added nothing to the table, my raid group would log in for 1 hour a week each week to knock out t1-5. We had full i90 on multiple classes, some of us had all our crafting maxed out, a couple of us have Luminaries. By the end of January for those who still played a bit more then an hour, we all had like 7 i90 weapons for classes we never planned to level. There was nothing to do, nothing to gear, no bosses to down. Progression hit a wall between 2.1-2.2.

I actually love the idea of SE slowing us down

You slow people down too much and they start to lose interest and get bored because they feel they are making no progress.

What I find stupid is having both High Allagan and the upgrade items in the same dungeon/raid, any normal MMO developer would have split them up so players had more choice and different paths to follow.

You can play 99% of this game in i90 gear which is easily obtained. I don't think there was ever a selling point of you can play more then one class and have BiS on all of them.

As opposed to the last few months of everyone complaining that they were bored and had nothing to do because they already had everything they wanted?

More RNGaphobia. I personally think the system is fine, was just offering a possible solution to OPs "problem".

Someone doesn't have a fairy doing alot of the healing.

You should feel exceptionally bad if you play at your absolute best, but still wipe because you didn't meet the dps requirement of a fight.

the faster you get second coil to farm status the better are your chances of getting loot, that means killing stuff faster which naturally would mean buffing your DPSes first. It's group progression vs self progression and imo group progression is a better investment long term.
