Am I the only one feeling very sad about the "Favour" system being an april fool?

wtf? this is why it won't ever be implemented. you guys suck out the fun in everything. it's suppose to be fun. we'll have cute and fun cutscences too and maybe every now and then, give presents. seriously, there needs to be more fun things like this in the game but nope, we can't because you guys make like it's going to turn out into porn or something. -_-
*sigh*oh well. it didn't even had to be like "romance" but maybe some friendship levels to grow for our npcs.

You're saying the reason we can't have nice things is because of MY post, claiming it would "turn out into porn or something"?! I think you should go back and read 90% of the posts again. I've been encouraging and promoting PLAYER INTERACTION and ROLEPLAYING ever since I started, and my ONLY claim - my only hope - was that players could make more interesting and better developed characters than the bad boy white-hair emo guy, the feminine leader with obligatory big breasts, the dumb blonde/smart guy slapstick duo, etc. Hey, don't get me wrong, Yoshi-P and his team are professionals! There's no way any of this generations MMO players could create such 3 dimensional personalities and stuff.

And for the record, I don't care if things DID turn way more intimate than originally planned ........ as long as it's with other players, I fully support it.

Why does it have to be exclusive to romance? It'd be great to get to know your fellow scions and get closer to them and unlocking side story quests based around them depending on your "favour" with them. And even if it was who cares about every other player doing the same thing? We already are.. you're the hero in the main story quests, the rest of people you party with for 8 man main story from your PoV is a bunch of other adventurers that you've rounded up to help you.

And this is changing the whole subject. I have absolutely NO problem learning backstories of SE's expertly and meticulously designed NPCs. No problem at all....... but that's NOT what was implied in the blog and it's NOT what's implied on any of the threads. What was implied *disclaimer - in my opinion* was that people stop hanging around and interacting with other players (less than they already are), and have this turn into even more of a solo single player game than it already is. No worries, today was the day my sub ended, so you won't have me to "suck the fun out of the game".

Sorry guys, I know us filthy casual roleplayers ruin everything....
.... though I still find it funny that whenever people quote me, they immediately change stances from, "w..we didn't REALLY mean 'romantic', just friendship .... y-yeah..." /rollseyes
