"Man, drop rates on Atmas sucks"

The reason people are farming now is because in a few weeks (or maybe longer) when everybody has finished it, no one will be doing it and it will be impossible to get gold on it anymore, making your chances of getting it even lower than it is now.

And that's another part that really sucks. It's like I'm forced to rush grind this if I ever want to upgrade my relic in the future.
I didn't do much Atma farming over the weekend because I already know my RNG is bad, and I kept seeing how many people would spend hours on fates and not get one drop. So I thought ok, I will just take my time getting it and just do fates here and there. But then I realized I probably won't be able to because everyone and their mom is rushing to get it spending hours and hours wasting their lives and grinding and everyone will be done with it. So it's frustrating.

Fairly certain the only fates you'll have problems with are boss fates, and even most of those are soloable. They'll just take longer to do. I'm only spending two hours a day on FATE grinding. Otherwise, I'll lose my sanity.

Don't the Fates scale difficulty depending on how many people were there the last time the Fate spawned? If you wait until the big rush is over, and Fates go back to where maybe one or two people do them, won't that actually make it easier to get gold? With everyone zerging Fates for Atmas, Coerthas is dead and I did a few Fates where there were four or less people, and got gold.

Exactly. The problem only exists because of that core group of players that are too impatient and demand access to every piece of content in a matter of days. And because of them it's created a downward spiral of more and more people joining the farm rush until the whole damn system crashes on it's head. This is not how the game is meant to be played
