Halatali hard 1st Boss vs. Aurum Vale 2nd Boss

    Greetings!

So how comes the AV Version is actually harder than the Halatali hardmode version?

See BLM getting hit by "100-Tonze Swing" only taking away ~2500 hits (bit more than 1/2 of HP...), while even tanks in AV are dead in one hit.
Did they forget to increase numbers after copy&paste of boss mechanics?

Adding to this that in the hard mode the attacks are more easy to see (getting sucked in vs. watching for a cast bar) and dodge than in the AV version.

Even with that "click switch to survive"-mechanic the hardmode version still seems to be considerably easier than the AV one.

    Disclaimer:
These are just my thoughts of the 1st Boss in Halatali hard.
    Feel free to disagree!

    PS:
I really like the new dungeons!
At the same time I find it is odd that most of the easily avoidable boss mechanics are not punishing at all if ignored.

In Aurum Vale you're a tiny Lvl 49 gimp with adjusted equip and in Halatali you're a overgeared ilvl 90 motherfucker.

Tho this bosses are both represent similar moves , still they have different mechanics to deal with . Halatali (hard) boss is just power kill + use puppet to avoid deadly aoe but this is when party is ilv 90 , tryin to do this in ilv60~70 i think it will be def harder than AV one . AV version party can do total undergeared , cuz this version will 90% of time stay with tank , no draw in's , eye shoot move is too predictable + long cast bar + not too big damage. So my thoughts (only mime XD) AV ver is bit easier , and if player already ilv 50 with already AF1 gear AV is overgear , same for Halatali (with ilv 90)

Actually i think the draw in makes it easier to know when the swing comes, compared to the AV one where u should watch that tiny cast bar (and read quick if its swing or swipe

I understand your arguments, but even fresh iLvL 50 players won't die from 2500 hit (on BLM - less on higher armor) 100-Tonze swing in Halatali hard, where as in AV you will die.

In AV, even iLvL 90+ synched down tank will die if hit by 100-Tonze swing, so does each and every melee.

i agree with the statement, but not with the fact that lvl49 one should therefor feel harder than the hardmode.

Then play Halatali HM in full militia gear with pre-relic weapon.

You can tell which it is in AV simply by his stance, so it's not that difficult to know when it is coming. Also, if you have anywhere close to a competent tank, it will always be stunned, and you never have to worry about it.

Of course you can distinguish both, but, in the heat of battle, which one is easier to see?

Speaking about stunning the boss if necessary, paying close attention to the bosses stances , aggro reset
--> i feel things like this should have been part of the hardmode fight, not the other way around!

Let's say we agree on both beeing quite the same difficulty.
I still have to ask why this should be a hard mode boss then while the other is a low level boss.

I agree that they are both easy. I think the main factor was mentioned above. AV can't really be over-geared, but Halatali HM can. It was easy for my group that was all ilvl78+, but I'm not so sure it would be easy at ilvl55.

That being said, I was hoping for a little more difficulty in the new dungeons, but that is what Coil is for I suppose.
