No more Praetorium in the Duty Roulette!

eh as an i90 whm im more than happy to solo heal it while u want to sit out cuz someone else is watchign a cutscene.... u can do every boss fight in there w/ 4 ppl, and literally none of them need explaining unless like 7/8 of the ppl are new. So u can all watch ur cutscenes the first time while the rest of us do the dungeon... and if u feel like u missed out, you can run it again and fight the bosses since u dont need to watch the cutscenes again.... seems fair enough to me. Nothing says that if u miss the bosses cuz u were watching the cutscenes the first time, that you cant just do the dungeon again and fight them.

Well this is counter productive... that is still not fair for first timers who go in hoping to experience the entire dungeon as is. I know i wanted that experience, watching a scene than fighting the boss and moving on. At least clear with everyone in the party whats happening so everyone's on the same page. Communication is key.

you accept to take the roulette, you accept to meet first timer in praetorium that will watch the CS, duty reward are there simply for thanks people that will help people going throught it.

People who demand to skip cutscenes in Duty Roulette need to remember--the Duty Roulette isn't there to help them get free tomes, it's there to help players finish story content and ensure able bodies to make up the party to do so. The focus is on the players finishing the story content. They're not going to remove story content from Duty Roulette just to make 'moar tomez plz' happy. You're the replaceable one.

I don't do Prae very often, but when I do, I ask if there are any first timers or people trying to finish the story. If there are, I will work with the other tank, as well as quell the jackals to make sure the new guys get to watch their scenes. I got bitched at hard my first time for watching scenes as a new 50, and didn't really understand why people were being so freaking nasty to me until I started farming tomes. In my run, I ended up skipping and missing most of the scenes, so now I try to make sure it doesn't happen to others. And NO, telling 1st timers to sit in the inn to watch the scenes is NOT an acceptable solution to your impatience problem 8)

Best solution would be to remove the long cutscenes. They NEVER should have put a freaking movie in the middle of a dungeon, much less an 8 man that's populated with people to help carry you and have already been through the dungeon dozens of times.


"Drama" is not a good excuse for blatantly bad dungeon design.

Except its the end of a huge leadup, the entire main story up to that point. Why should the fact that its in a roulette basically by itself matter more than that? Instead of getting mad that its trying to tell a story, which is part of it's primary purpose, get made at the awful people who make it a nightmare to run.

Though, with how tomes are working now population in the roulette seems MUCH lower. Had to 6-man a Castrum yesterday because two people were kicked after the first boss for idling in the starting area the whole time. They never got replaced in the significantly longer (and to be honest, much more fun) run.

With the new Roulettes to do (Expert and Trials) I don't even touch Main Story roulette. As it is now I just don't have time, and I fully accept that a DF story run might run 40 minutes to an hour. I'm not gonna hassle new players for a few Myth tomes. I can get plenty from my normal play.

we just go without the people watching cutscenes. The dungeon is so easy. We end up 5 manning the last boss gauntlet because of the people who got left behind.

it actually 100 , 20 for dung itself , 80 for roulette . Prae takes only 15~20 min to finish tbh , if rush w/o cs or left those who watch behind lol
