PlayStation Trophies!

hello. i am not usually a big nut about trophies. but i do love that this game has them. and because it's an MMORPG you know you are going to play it piratically forever.

so if you are a PS3/4 user, going for the trophies is most likely going to be one of your long term goals. it's just something else to do.

I gather you mean add more trophies that what are currently available? I would assume it will only be with expansion content and not the current stream of patches. Like with most PS games when there is DLC and new content outside of patches then it comes with new trophies. I only really need to clear Turn 5 to get the platinum (and then last few crafting trophies).

and that trophy you mentioned... i wonder if it will be awarded after completing Coil1 Turn5. or if it will only award itself in the future when ALL Coils and Turns have been completed. if it DOES award after Coil1 Turn5... then it's a worthless trophy anyhow.


i have always enjoyed trophies in most games, because they give the game more replay value. they give you something extra to go for. and incentive to try to play game differently. or on a harder difficulty. (BTW i am skill-less at every game ><) but with a MMORPG, they can add long-term yet simple goals.



i wouldn't expect many trophies. just even like 1 or 2 with each major update would be fun. like with 2.1 they could have added a universal beast tribe quest counter. with 2.2 they could have added a gardening trophy.



well... even if they don't plan to add more trophies. it will still be fun to collect the current set of trophies through out the years

I totally agree with you that new trophies would be good with new content released in the patches but we all know us lowly PS3 players get forgotten

As for the coil trophy, it's for clearing turn 5 of the binding coil 1, the new turns 6-9 are technically a separate coil.

I hope they don't add any more Coil trophies. The Turn 5 one is the only thing holding me back from platinum now, and I'm seriously debating whether I should force myself to do Coil (I hate endgame/raids) as it is.

why wouldn't you do Coil? it is an entire story you are missing out on. you can always just wait for the Echo buff already applied in 2.21 to be further increased. they said they would increase it again. you could just always wait till things get easier. in any case it's your call. but you are missing out on the Final Fantasy fun

in deed! i think the story has depth to it. and if you have completed the Main Scenario quest line from launch. then it is something you could easily pick up on. story-wise that is.

and then i noticed when they added the turns to the Duty Finder. that there is now more detailed descriptions of the areas you visit. so this makes it more fun.


honestly chances are i will just wait for the second coil to also be put in the Duty Finder before ever even attempting the first turn. i think it will be more enjoyable like this.

Funny is that the T5 clearance is a bronze trophy. So it's something easy that can be quickly done. :P

t5 bronze must of been an oversight, should be silver at least.

you get it from t5 alone as well. no need to do all turns leading up to it.

the last two for me is catch 1000 fish and do 1000 leves, both of which im close on.

I hope we get no more trophies for this game, as I don't think it needs them since it has the in game achievements log
