memorizing something is a skill, a bigger skill is being able to recall what you remembered when you need to recall it, an even bigger skill is being able to react to that information after you recall it.
Yeah but how many hours did they play out of that 24? I like the lengthy grind of this next phase I just wish It was a non RNG grinding method where you could see your progressing and know that the time you are putting in each day is steadily getting you closer to your ultimate goal. Sure you can potetially with this method get it done faster but then doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of making it "longer"...it seems they have not made it longer. And Trolls want everything handed to them, without even moving their hands.. spoiled brats ftw. got it. see what i did there?
As some people have proven allready, they got their 12 Atmas within 24 hours, if that is what people consider "long", they may want play a different Genre.
Server: BEHEMOTH
FC: CASCADIA
Playing since Beta phase 3
The other issue you have with this method is if no one is running FATES you are just out of luck because you cannot solo some of these FATES and thus your progression halts for that day. Not a good idea at all.

No idea how long they actually did play to get them. Personally i am at 3/12 and did a total of 76 Fates. A FC-Mate is at 6/12? iirc and he did around the same amount of Fates. Hard to say how much that is in Hours, since i also do them while waiting for DF to pop up, or between Quests etc.Yeah but how many hours did they play out of that 24? I probably wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't involve shitty fates, I prefer a challenge not monotonous grind personally.
Whether you like fates or not, it's intelligent design.
FATE zones that were barren are now being occupied by people trying to get their ATMA weapon, enabling newer-players to experience FATEs without it being a solo experience. Like Dungeons, it revitalizes a content that would go dead due to how top-heavy in levels the player base is.
Not a fan of the RNG, but smart design, none the less. SE is keeping all parts of their game relevant for more than just the first time through, making sure newer players can experience the game and have an opportunity to meet veterans of the game. And as FATEs are a measure more leisurely than Dungeons, and are server specific, it can be used to community build and network.
A few words for the people complaining about this. "The RPG games is about grind, sorry but if you dont like grind avoid play rpg/mmrpgs".
I prefer lose 300k of our playerbase and keep 1.5 millions PLEASED, with long terms goals.
lets unmask the true, behind of FATE/200 instances tank mount.
Since the 2.1 with the dungeon exp buff, the FATEs are "Dead". You see small groups of people farming fates, yeah of course the weekends everyone is farming FATES but the rest the week nobody does...
The logic behind of this. Square wish we go to Grind FATES for help lv up the Newbies or people lving another job.
The same story is for the insane amount of instances the tanks need play for get their mount. This will aleviate the lacks of tank, during a several weeks.
Do you even have a Relic? The subject is playing FATES against an RNG. How is that not a test of patience and endurance?
Bottom line: If you don't want to do it, you really don't have to. The game provides other ways to improve. This is good. It's providing players with routes that suit their own playstyles.
I can't help but wonder if the people complaining about RNG, didn't pick the wrong genre to play.
I would kind of agree with this. It's just that there aren't enough downtime between them to really start up a serious conversation.it can be used to community build and network.
