Right, we fail at all NMs, that's how I was able to get my mosshorn scale male, aolean scimitar, dedore doublet, and silver tricorne +1, by failing to beat NMs. Explain to me exactly how that is possible? If I didn't beat them, how did I get all those drops?

Unfortunately, that quote continues on to say that the team isn't going to implement any consequences to failing leves but instead a bonus to encourage their completion.Ohh you beat me with your collection of items that don't really matter, a silver tricorne +1??? I'm sure everyone is just amazed. I hope that doublet comes in handy for your high rank crafts. Of course you can occasionally beat NMs, even a broken close is right twice a day.
BTW: Here's my gave community rep quote:
Your whole ls is built on this, I hope you realize that most people would prefer a "healthy game environment" than your poor exploit-o-rama until the devs get around to fix it, which will probably be quite a while, and all of your characters will be 50 everything(battlewise, I'd never expect you personally to find a use for a doublet).
This is ridiculous. NMs are a joke, why are we talking about them again? If raids are as challenging as they promised us, hopefully they'll sort all this out for us. It's doing little good to tell someone they're not beating NMs proficiently if they're satisfied with just beating them at all. Maybe if they get stuck on raids or some other future content they'll become open to advice, but people who started NMs in the post-nerf leve-abandon era have demonstrated that they're only interested in the end results right now. They can get all the gear they want their way, so they're not going to listen to people saying they're doing it wrong.
oh yeah I agree, but if there is a reason to finish them I'd assume people would stop failing them every round unless it's faction NMs all over again.
This whole failing leves making people bad is BS. If failing leves makes a player bad, not skilled, or whatever you want to call it, then its very freaking likely that that person is going to suck no matter how they get to 50. A players skills or understanding of their job has nothing to do with whether or not they have failed a leve.
Anyways, it's the same leve that everyone else does, just minus one enemy(where is the big deal here?). I never failed a leve until I had 2 jobs at 50 and full Buccaneer gear. Does that make me a bad player because I fail leves now? I only fail 4 leves and finish another 4. Why should I finish them anyways? I have multiple jobs at 50, fully understand every job available, don't need the gil rewards, don't need faction points, and have been through the grind enough times at these camps that I don't see a problem with it. Mobs just don't magically die at the start of a mission when they find out I am going to abandon the leve, I still have to do the leg work to get them dead, just like everyone else. Some of you act like people in Abaddon are failing leves 24/7/365. Leves are just a small portion of the grouping and teamwork that go on.
And also, don't be acting like people in Abaddon are the only ones who fail leves. Its server wide, not just one LS. Most people in my previous 2 Linkshells did the same exact thing if they came across the good leves, and why not? Some leves really suck..... really bad. I spend lots of time at camps semi-afk while I craft or read books and I see people in ALL YOUR LINK SHELLS failing leves. No one in this thread has an LS that is "innocent" in this. And don't forget that lots of us across different link shells are good friends with each other. We all talk, hang out, and sometimes do leves with one another, and guess what? You/they all do it too! Don't act all high and mighty just because you are one of the very few who supposedly does not fail a leve. If you rather do A terrible thirst instead of Dunesfolk every reset, then that is totally fine with the rest of us. Some people don't have all day to play and rather manage their free time better by doing leves that are more productive. Boo hoo.
Sorry for the long winded rant. It's just old seeing this discussion EVERYWHERE!. If there is a thread with no Abaddon people in it, then someone will make sure to mention them to try to get them in the thread and start an argument. It's rude and childish. I am no better for responding, but it gets hard not to when it happens in every thread... on multiple websites even.
Scape, out.

This derail pretty much started with:If there is a thread with no Abaddon people in it, then someone will make sure to mention them to try to get them in the thread and start an argument. It's rude and childish. I am no better for responding, but it gets hard not to when it happens in every thread... on multiple websites even.

Because killing leve mobs that die in 10 seconds prepares you for NM fights. Truly by fighting 4x as many of these quick encounters (ie, not failing leves), I will be magically prepared to fight the good fight.
Grow a pair. Community rep said it doesn't foster a healthy environment? I guess that totally means it "violates the spirit of the game", right? This is the biggest joke of a morality issue I've ever seen in a game. Unless their implemented bonus is about five THOUSAND SP per success, minimum (and even that isn't fantastic), we (and everyone else) will probably still keep failing anyways. Because it's fun to be efficient. Besides, the tradeoff is, again (stated by another dev), not getting faction creds, gil, marks, or item rewards. Whoohoo. Plenty of time for that before you start or after you finish.
No hugs today for any of you.
Oh and to end off... I am not whining
