It's been awhile since I've looked at this list and I wanted to re-create the BiS list (post-T9) and get feedback from everyone. There has been quite a bit of evidence that has surfaced now pertaining to accuracy caps and damage sustained during fights. As always the tanks primary role is to have enough HP/mitigation to withstand the big hits. Anything extra in this area is considered by many wasted itemization. Some have suggested that 9000 HP is a good mark to shoot for to be able to withstand any hit (after mitigation). It is for this reason that many tanks are choosing to wear strength accessories over vitality accessories.

Additionally it should be noted that strength is one of the few ways that we can directly increase our mitigation (amount of damage parried is affected by strength). It is suggested by some that parry works on a tier based system (although no other stat works in this manner). This theory however is not well supported which is why many believe that SE just rounds off the displayed value. Therefore having more strength is actually a good thing.

Also previously it was suggested that tanks stack as much parry as possible. However evidence has suggested that the returns from the Parry stat are minimal at best.

This new gear list has been created with these philosophies in mind. Lastly, the accuracy cap for T9 has been identified at 515 (+174 from gear).

Please review the newly updated gear list. I will make changes based upon comments from others.

I personally am getting the soldiery belt and allagan head. But I haven't really had a chance to look into it in detail so my list might change.

Edit: I think your list might be better than mine tbh. Will continue to look into it

Heh, the way my luck went I ended bis pre t5 on pld and bis -2 on war, but we had a late start. I might aim at war over pld this time so in a way it will be the same Acc>Vit>Parry>other.

I think i can pretty say all are tank drops since we started coil..

Nope its just a pre-emptive guess. and a pretty accurate guess considering there are very few determining factors.

Yes you might have got lucky over others obtaining bis pre-patch but it was a rng game. Then again I see your lodestone and your not equipped with bis either so not sure what your questioning? /luck
