Requires x2 Cashmere Fleece which are bought for x500 Myth Tomes each.
Requires x6 Tawny Latex which are bought for x150 Myth Tomes each.

That's 1900 Myth Tomes and we haven't started talking other crafting mats yet.

Who will be nuts to farm for this when you can get Myth vendor gear for much cheaper? Smaller pieces like gloves/head require 1400 myth tomes.

The difference is that these can be melded. It'll be exactly the same as early 2.0 where only the rich/progression focused players buy or craft these - or vanity, I guess.

The Terminus Putty synth yields 3 of them, so it's technically only 2 Tawny Latex, although you'll need 3 to do the synth.

Tawny Latex is 150 Myth for 10 of them, not for each.

Vanya and most other phil gear is or I guess was around the same cost yeah, they just reduced the items required from 9 to 1 or 2 but the overall cost is close to the same.
