Oh boy, the ridiculous crafting recipes for i90.

Who else just noticed this? Lets take i90 crafted casting robe for example -

Requires x2 Cashmere Fleece which are bought for x500 Myth Tomes each.
Requires x6 Tawny Latex which are bought for x150 Myth Tomes each.

That's 1900 Myth Tomes and we haven't started talking other crafting mats yet.

Who will be nuts to farm for this when you can get Myth vendor gear for much cheaper? Smaller pieces like gloves/head require 1400 myth tomes.

The difference is that these can be melded. It'll be exactly the same as early 2.0 where only the rich/progression focused players buy or craft these - or vanity, I guess.

Yoshi-P did say that but, if you compare a HQ'd and fully materia'd item to it's dropped equivalent item at the same level, you'd see that it wasn't absolute. Yoshi-P could have easily been referring to the basic state of a crafted item (IE, NQ with no materia).

But yea, evidence and logic are overrated! In any rate, it was also said that crafted items would never be the cutting edge raiding gear. This remains to be true because i90 items are the new darklite. They are the bare minimum to enter the new raids.
