What's the point of leveling then? What's the point of getting new gear, for Vanity or Use? Why are you playing?

The point of leveling is to get stronger, to do more challenging dungeons and raids, to participate in PvP, to obtain more and better gear, to better earn gil, to participate in Beastman content and other level-cap story content... There is plenty purpose to leveling to cap. The vanity system does not need to be and SHOULD NOT be used as an incentive for that.

Arbitrary restrictions are not interesting. They are not masterstrokes. They are not innovation. They don't make the game better. They just make the game poorer and stupider. If that's the game you want to play and pay for, that's fine. Some of us don't want that kind of game. There's no reason to have ARR be that kind of game and so we complain.

What's ironic to me is that by simply looking at your character's face icon, I can instantly tell you are already 50th level as you are wearing a Darklight cowl. So, you are raging over something that doesn't even affect you at all.

I didn't know level 50s weren't allowed to voice displeasure at things locked behind level 50. Apparently there is some rule somewhere which says otherwise.

SE please fix Odin armor so it can be used with the vanity system!

We spoke to the development team about this, but they currently do not have any plans to modify this armor to fit the Glamours system.

Can't glamour until 50? That's a bit ridiculous.

The development team designed this system with the concept that it would be something fun to look forward to using once you reach level 50.

I think Vanity system just has sense for 50s players. In this way, you wont have 100+ clones of your character around. Really, who's going to lose time changing his/her low level gear when the level up is so dramatically fast?

I actually agree with this. Dyes, Barbershop, etc are either super simple (pour the dyes on your clothes or call an npc). But Glamour seems to be a complex casting of magic. Definitely seems lore wise, to be something advanced that only the most seasoned adventurer could hope to master. And it is a really nice perk for reaching level 50.
