sorry for the hijack, its just we have enough threads going around.

i have my own solo FC that i love. slowly but surely, i have leveled it up (almost to 5) by myself. $$ saved for a FC house as soon as rank 6 comes around.
i have all my gil and tons of items stored there. sooooo, what happens if i go offline...?
will i lose it all? will there be an option to toggle this feature on/off? am i now forced to make/add an alt if i want to take a break from the game so there is a player for the leadership to go to?

what if they instead made it like a Vote to Promote feature instead?
after 35 days being offline, the remaining members can then initiate a Vote to Promote.

The issue I can see there is simply that if you have enough votes pushing for a member to be GM, be it due them forming a cliche or a substantial number of them are friends might make it that the FC promotes an individual not desired for leadership role by the original GM

The logical choice is the pass GM to the next highest ranking player in the FC as the rank can be deemed as a vote of confidence by the original GM
