It's for the role bonus specifically, they used Tank as an example because the role bonus is almost always in the tank slot due to how little there are out there queuing for content. Occasionally, at least in my server grouping, you will see healer, but it's rare.

Anyway, they were just saying they want to increase the bonus to give tanks incentive to queue up more, but it's not going to be specifically for tanks. It's just going to fix the PROBLEM with tanks.

People are confusing the role bonus with the daily tome bonus they are not the same thing. You will not get 7x more tomes if you play a tank. You get bonus exp and gil is the only thing you get from the role bonus. At level 50 that is currently 750 gil and 0 exp because you are capped.

So 750 gil x 7 = 5250 gil

That's it a 5250 gil bonus which isn't much gil at all.

i enjoy running low lvl DR on my tank but i would do it a lot more if:

1) more unique items drop from dungeons (like the foe striker, acolyte, battlemage, calvary, infantry and coliseum sets)
2) boost to tomes (this is controversial. but im just putting it out there without really considering the repercussions xD)

Right but if you are still leveling a tank (my PLD is at 36) then you will get bonus exp and Gil! So running DR Dungeons and Guildhests already provides a nice boost when leveling. This change will make it 7x that!

For those of us who have 30m its nothing. Legacy servers have a lot more gil in the economy then fresh servers and the reward does not adjust for server inflation.
