He's following the "standard" MMORPG model (that only 1 mainstream MMO actually utilizes and 1 other MMO no one really cares about) which is to nerf content after every update and make your previous accomplishment meaningless.

An accomplishment isn't made meaningless after the fact unless you want to use it as some sort of badge to flaunt in some failed attempt to show superiority over others.

For those of us who do things for our own self-satisfaction, the fact others get to do it more easily later is irrelevant.
