Skill spam in city

I like the "turn of your sound/battle effects" responses. Obviously everyone should need to take time to change all of their settings so one guy can spam skills in town, instead of that guy spamming skills just NOT @#$%ING DOING IT.

There was a guy on Leviathan doing it the other day, and when people complained he did it more while following them + changing jobs to spam additional skills all because of "if you don't like it, just change your settings".

You can report them for harassment and a GM will put them in jail for a bit. (Happened to someone in my LS who was being a goober cuz he hit 50 drg and wanted to spam his abilities all over town).

The alternative would be to make skills not usable in town, and I can hear lots of people complain on that.

Anytime an MMO has done that it's just angered players. It's just something you have to deal with, along with;

You can filter emote text in the chat settings and prevent your own non-custom emotes from being broadcast to everyone within earshot by checking (or was it unchecking?) the box in the lower right corner of the emote menu.

How about you just mute all of your sounds if it's so annoying to hear how lively a game is and that people actually have fun instead of just logging in for some hours each monday to clear their weekly stuff?

Yes please, the racket caused by crafters annoys the crap out of me when I'm trying to browse the AH or many vendors in the trading halls and wider world.

Correct, but i'd rather (as most people would agree) not have to filter this out, as the emote text is handy.

It's just one of those things you deal with, blacklist, mute, change areas, whatever is necessary to stop annoying you.
