    I won't argue this any further. I've seen a similar comparison already made here, and it baffles me. This is the most petty attitude I've ever seen. You are playing a video game. A video game people worked on for years. They have given you the product, which you bought. They need money to keep it running. They give trinkets for no reason. Someone had to code that. You think it's stupid, and want it changed. You want them to work more than they already have for something that doesn't matter. Is playing an MMO your job? No. Is making and maintaining an MMO theirs? Yes.

    The trinkets aren't given for no reason. They're given for loyalty. Thats why they're called "loyalty rewards." And you left out the part of the equation about how paying for the mmo enables the people making the mmo to have a job.
