I don't know why you're stating this is a tank thing, I've only seen dps do that (force DC while everybody is still loading the dungeon.)

Tank mysteriously leaving on Low Level Duty Roulette, its one thing when its endgame content but another thing when its low level dungeons that are generally easy once done the first time.

Low level roulette is players trying to get dropped into Ifrit Story Mode for quick rewards.

Tank was talking about how his food was almost ready the whole dungeon then as he said it was done -poof- D/C. lol Managed to solo with 3 people it was only tam -tam! Thank goodness. =)

Just make it to where if people D/C, that upon relogging they will get a prompt:

"You disconnected from the server while in a Duty, would you like to return to this Duty? Selecting No will return you back to your location before joining the Duty, but will impose the standard quitter penalty of 30 minutes. Selecting Yes, will return you to the Duty."

If the person was vote kicked before returning, then it will put them back in town without the penalty.

Banning is totally overkill, sometimes people D/C for real, and it would be unfair to give them the banhammer for that.

Oh I do so like this suggestion. However, doesn't the game already try to put you back into the duty anyway? I've had this issue before and it usually just automatically puts me back into the dungeon.

IRL I had some personal issues and had to log. Regardless of how strict a penalty was in place - I had to go. It happens. That's part of MMOs.


It would be nice if there were more disincentives for poor behavior. Honestly, I'd be okay with losing some of the commendations I've earned (and making that standing more relevant somehow) when something like that happens... because the majority of the time I'm an asset and not an ass.
