360 Day Veteran Reward - Aetheryte Ticket

Some people are just offering feedback. There is a reward system and I'm sure SE would like to know what rewards are good and what rewards ones are bad for future rewards.

I think Aetheryte Tickets are a bad reward because it has an in-game monetary value and it is late in the reward system.

Since this is a 360 day payment reward, players who pay by credit card have already played at least 6 months. By this time most players know ways to efficiently earn gil either by farming or crafting. As a crafter I see it as worthless since the a item worth 25k will probably just saves me 3 minutes of crafting. Since it takes up an inventory slot I'll just toss it. If this was a 30 day reward it would be great because players are just starting out and teleports feel expensive.

Rewards should make you want to extend your subscription to receive them. Aetheryte Ticket doesn't make me want to extend my subscription to get it. To me it's basically a waste of space on their rewards page.

The Veteran rewards are all about rewarding fans for their loyalty and, let's face it, subscription money. A reward that is equivelant to a nominal amount of gil (in the range of 15-25,000g) is not a suitable reward for paying for the game for an entire year.

My 'reward' for my sub. is playing the game, anything else I get is an extra little 'thank you' and NOT an entitlement or something that is 'suitable' .. except I did post when it was thought it was a one-shot I thought it was taking the p... because it was so pitiful it was an insult as even a 'thank you'.

Their previous MMO title did nothing in the form of extras for even the longest time subscribers, and noone said anything.
This MMO title gives a small token of appreciation and suddenly the Atlantic ocean isn't big enough to catch all the tears because the "reward" isn't good enough.

And FFS, is every post that someone makes on a forum really just an excuse to try and say the snarkiest, most off putting thing they can come up with? No one is crying a sea full of tears. Its more like a "pfft" and an eye roll. I'm sorry to disappoint you. I won't be slitting my wrists because the 30 day reward is, in my opinion, better than the year reward.

SE set the precedent of 2 veteran rewards each time, not us.

Teleport Item should be a ring with x charges and a recharge timer.

You get 3 free teles to start and they recharge at the rate of 1 every 8 hours. Something like that. Genius!

Pretty sure the point is you can't buy the rewards with gil. The argument that "you buy a ticket every time you teleport so this reward is meaningless", doesn't make any sense.

you buy 50 teleports with gil, so how is it not something you can buy with gil? oh yea it wastes an inventory slot, that's supposed to make it more valuable?

I do, but I also remember the Homing ring. Which was unfortunately not as useful as the Moogle cap or the (unfortunately extremely limited) Ducal guard ring.

The Empress band was, but that thing did something completely different.

yup, I had all of those. any of them would be more meaningful than 50 consumable tickets. a Mor Dhona Bracelet or something with a recharge timer would've been nice.

A free gift for a paid subscription? You don't get the reward without paying, thus it isn't "free".

You also don't need it without paying, because you would not be able to play.
It is free. You don't pay to get rewards, you pay to be able to play. If you only pay because the rewards (and not because you want to play the game), then I think you misunderstood there something.
