    - The Final Fantasy series in general

    - The ability to level all classes/jobs on a single character and switch between them freely

    - I respect the commitment Yoshida and his team made to improve the game from 1.0

    Hate:

    - Too much focus on instanced content, not enough good open-world content

    - RMT's and botters continue to be a problem

    - Quests and FATE's are generally too simplistic and lack immersion

    Want:

    - Personal housing

    - Some form of content where crafters/gatherers are required in a party (1.0 hamlet defense, etc.)

    - More character customization in regards to combat (gear/materia with more varied stats and effects, skill trees, trait builds, more cross-class functionality, etc.)

    1) Landscapes: stunning. Eorzea is the most beautiful virtual world ever.
    2) Lore: well done. There is a lot of care and work, and that makes me care about the world. I loved the coordinated strike of the Three Free States against the seemingly all-powerful Empire.
    3) These ones: the way the sylphs talk is a riot!

    Hate:
    1) Primals: they should go away and pester ESO, Wildstar, whatever. I'm not going to do them if at all possible.
    2) Elitists: bane of every multiplayer game, and sadly this one seems to favour them. Whenever I enter a dungeon, I hope there are none in the group.
    3) Trash: bags keep filling with trash. Crafting trash, but trash it is. :P

    Wish:
    1) A better combat system: the 2.5 global cooldown is far too long, and the combination of latency and dodge mechanics can be maddening (and it IS unfair, whatever elitists may say).
    2) More open world content: all types.
    3) No invisible walls: climbing and swimming, and a much better map to have an idea of where you are in the world. As it is now, you always feel in an instance.

    -df queue times for dps classes/jobs

    -better character customization over all (more faces, more hair, better makeup options, body sliders, cross class actions, more jobs...just more)
    -golden saucer mini games
    -more story content
    -dodge button to make combat a little bit more fun, i already love the combat system but with a dodge button i would adore it 100x more

    Love: Open world content; anything I can do freely whenever I want; not being forced to be stuck with the same 8 people every week because of lock outs.

    Hate: Repeating the same dungeons every week for 1-3 hours then finding another game to play because I have nothing to do; the fact that there is nothing in the open world; people crying that this game is too hard

    Want to see: Open world content; Golden saucer; the removal of all lock outs and bring back low% drop rates so that I can actually spend time in this game.

    I remember this thread on the old Beta forum;

    Luckily though, I saved the page from that and my choices last time are pretty much still the same.

    Love:

    - it's fixed the major faults that doomed FFXIV 1.0 before it was even launched.
    - a well designed graphic engine that can even run on my old piece of junk.
    - a solo-based game design (no more waiting for stupid exp party invites that never come), while still being able to form a party easily if necessary.

    Hate:

    - a vocal but annoying minority of elitist hardcore'/FFXI/1.0 fans that seem to hate things about this game simply for the reason of hating.
    - item level gating story content. Being able to access content should be based purely around competency not simply owning specific gear with a high enough number on it.
    - escort levequests being nerfed due to stupid players abusing them. They need to be rebalanced as at the moment they're just too difficult to really bother with (multiple mobs spawn at once and slaughter the npc before you can even react).

    Want to see:

    - an option to switch the GUI style to 1.23's version, I actually quite like the older style GUI appearance wise (and yes, I asked for this in Feedback during the Beta)
    - the return of the old 'Guardian's Blessing' buff when doing levequests which 1.0 had at it's start.
    - bring back the Path Companions! I miss my old flirtatious bisexual miqo'te GLA. :3

    Didnt want to make the hole thing so just made a Hate list. XD Well more of a love/hate list. Love for it to be in the game but hate that its not in the game XD

    Hate

    Crafting system is too easy where anyone can HQ anything (HQ is meaningless)
    No option to resell gear really
    Map size is too small
    No HD textures (Need to wait another year or two for that)
    No motion physics
    Annoying group chat sounds effects in large areas of people
    Less spawn rates for Odin & Behemoth now that less people are doing Fates
    All Quests are fetch quests
    All levequests from grandcompany to crafting to gathering are the same as each other in objectives.
    Weak Achievement rewards
    Enemies dont roam around at all really within there area of space
    Content is replaced by each patch
    All equipment is replaced within 3-6 months
    Soundtrack doesn't loop in dungeons or on the field
    Lack of 1.0 tracks
    Gathering is made too easy to obtain items
    mult-trade levequests for crafting has broke the leveling process
    All Dungeon gear is 100% drop rate making crafting gear useless
    Retainer Ventures seems to hand players free materials without any effort making the market even worse (Makes Retainers Bots)
    Lack of Danger in the open world as well as Dungeons
    Copyed designs from FF11 & FF12 & FF13 without much or any retextures or design changes.
    Lack of creative new designs on enemies (Really Meca Tree... could use same movement as the normal walking trees)
    Poor designs on Jobs & classes actions (Weak looking versions of summons...)
    Poor armor designs for all classes (Reskin AF for Myth Gear, Add white version of darklight for WHM, add white version of Allagan robe for healer)
    Not keeping your word (Goobue Mount for only 1.0 players limited time only patch 1.23...)
    Not fixing glitches, bugs fast enough. (Still got simple bugs from Beta 7+ months after launch)
    Rerelease same dungeon, fight content (Easy Mode, Hardmode, Extremes, Really Extreme, Very Extreme etc..)

    the fact that the devs are sharing the information about whats going on (played ffxi since 2006 ToAU time, and i like that these devs share some of the info)

    hate:
    leveling gatherers
    the stupid monster mechanics (almost everything causing heavy effects)
    the real lack of community (i miss the old ffxi community. when i first hit level 18, i had a Japanese player help me get the subjob quest items, i didnt even ask, he offered). the overall toxicity of this community, (geared and exp onry people) and people that are faster at judging, than helping people

    want
    more fun things, personally, i loved panktration from ffxi (for those that dont know, basically pokemon, with certain tweaks)
    more jobs (especially ninja and thief)
    MANY more ways to make gil, not just dailies

    Things I like:
    Most of the classes are quite fun to play as.
    Amalj'aa Beast Tribe Dailies are fun
    Most of the FATEs are quite interesting.

    Things I don't like:
    Tank classes are rather boring compared to DPS and healing classes...
    There's not enough variety in endgame dungeon grinding.
    Not much reason to level any DoH classes besides Culinarian.

    Things I'd like to see:
    More stuff to do in the open world, like maybe Mark Hunting, a la FFXII.
    Daily quests in the mid-level (30-40) range.
    Something to make Crafting relevant.
    (kinda cheating here but) New classes, like Fencer (Red Mage), Musketeer, or Rogue/Scout (Thief).

    - More mini-game activities.
    - More scenaries.
    - Make some fates challenging with good loots.
