Complete new guy here.

I picked this up yesterday. I've already made a character on Besaid but before I get too far into it I'd like to get some suggestions on which world to play on. What are the communities like?

I've played on two servers with both characters now mid range on all classes. Palamecia was my first now I'm on Rabanstre. Most server pops. are congregating in Ul'dah region at the moment so if you're looking for decent interaction/party play then I'd hit there for a starter.

Since I have'nt played on Pala in a while I can't comment but Rab seems fairly busy in Ul'dah region and I'm in an LS with 100+ members and another highly active 20+ players. Also I've seen at least 30-40 brand new players to the game over the last week.
I always stop to help out the new guys

Oh cool. Here I thought I'd have to pay for the slots after the first month. I'm kinda fiddling on Gysahl because there seemed to be a decent amount of people right around the starting area in Ul'dah.

Awesome, thanks! How is the community and population over on Lindlum? Any good casual/social Linkshells?

I've only ever been on Lindblum, so I can't make much of a comparison to other worlds, but I can say that I've never had trouble due to lack of people, if anything.

I'm currently in what I guess would be considered an 'endgame' LS, organized event calendar and highest NM hunts, thus why I was more into offering question help than offering a casual Linkshell ^^

But of course I'd be willing to help out or duo/more skill up some lower classes
