honestly we went from copy paste terrain to very detailed, unique and gorgeous terrain that serves little purpose other than a backdrop for the lobbies that we are all in.
at least treasure hunts give a reason to do things in the open world. boring, repetitive things. but things.
You know the Forum join date doesn't always have any relevance to when someone started playing? Date is when you joined the forums, not the game. I started with FFXIV 1.0 beta. Bought the collectors edition also. My forum join date doesnt signify it.
I play FFXIV because it's a themepark MMO
If I wanted open world immerision, I'd play Skyrim.
The thread necromancer has struck.

I miss playing sandbox MMOs.![]()
Open world, Don't miss one bit. Entire environments were Copy Pasta and every camp looked exactly the same.
Graphics. Now I really don't understand what everyone has been going on about this. The graphics are close to the same, the only thing lacking was the better battle animations.
Also the new lightning and shader is way better than 1.0. I like not being blinded every 10 minutes by that ridiculous lightning system.
Did you really had to Necro this thread ?
Sorry I refuse to grant you the decency to read through the entire thread. Some people think that making threads over and over about the same thing will somehow grab the developers and change the game they want to. Quantity does not equal quality. Even if there are 1000 likes that is still a tiny majority of the playerbase and it's the same people anyway that can't see the forest beyond the bush they live in
Inb4 I didn't use the search function- there are three posts on the first page about the exact same topic
