Duty Finder + Party Finder Not Compatible with Pushing Boss Difficulty

Ok, so about ten years ago, if I were doing an end game boss fight, it would be with a set team of people that I have gathered together and played with for months. Our coordination would be pretty much flawless and we'd have a consistent strategy that we would execute for each boss fight.

Fast forward ten years later and we're trying to do hard fights, but with a group of mostly random people with varying degrees of exposure to the fight, possibly having used different strategies, and with varying levels of skill. Because of how unforgiving extreme primal fights and fights like Twintania are, the group is only as good as its weakest link, which results in far lower success rates than what should be happening.

I don't think there is much point to pushing the level of difficulty in content if the idea is to get random people to play with one another. It has really turned the community into a less friendly place, and we're losing a lot of people due to it. I really don't know what else to say, but that effort needs to be put into something other than boss fights if the game is to be as inclusive as the current game design suggests.

People who are serious about raiding and end game will always join an fc or static. Those that don't cause of time issues or commitment or whatever reason will not. But instead spamming shouts in town you have a more organized way of forming parties. The pf and df just help facilitate this. I don't see a problem here.

And what about the people who are not serious about raiding? The vast majority of players targeted by the developers are not serious about raiding, but will sign up for the raid encounters anyway because they are in the same tool they used to get into dungeons up to that point. Their seems to be some confusion within the system, since it begs the question, if the content was made so that you must use a set group to win it, why is it even in the duty finder to begin with?

While I have a static group, sometimes I do have to use party finder to find groups for things like extreme primal encounters. It is frustrating to enter an encounter when you know that most groups will just flop dead and you are well beyond the point of learning it. Yes, people should approach these encounter with some thick skin so they can tolerate the wiping and frustration, but thick doesn't mean impenetrable.

I can definitely understand these issues. As a 2.0 player on a legacy server, it can be difficult to do some of the harder content. While I am in a great FC, they are all on Coil either downing T5 weekly or about to. I have only done T1-3 and that was as a fill in for a Static that makes it look easy. Titan EX is a long learning curve, in that you need to be able to anticipate the next action. That takes a LOT of work and not everyone has that kind of time. Additionally, all weekend I tried to find a learning Titan party with no luck. The one I did finally find, changed to Garuda because they couldn't get enough people to fill the Titan learning. It seems that if you don't jump on board as soon as it hits, you have a big chance of missing the boat, unless people get really bored and just want to carry you, which I don't want.
This has me nervous going on as it looks like I might get further and further behind. Having the Echo wont help on a fight that is almost all mechanics.

It seems Yoshida's philosophy is to make things intentionally hard at first so that those with a higher skill level will still be challenged, but will eventually overcome it, while those of a lower skill level or those that can put less time into the fights will take longer. Eventually, older content difficulty will be lowered so that those that couldn't beat it while it was relevant will have an easier time of it, while those who were able to beat it before and have had it on farm will move on to the latest and greatest thing. And so the cycle continues.
