What makes you think the content will expand? can't you see this game is headed in the direction of only small pieces of relevant content per patch, there's no use for old content with this games vertical progression. That's the problem that most the people complaining have with the direction the game is going.

Small? I have 2 things to say about this:

    1) Yes it is a Major patch ( content patch) but it's not an Expansion. Expansions are what gives the game a Big boost in content.
    2) For a Major Patch that is not an Expansion, it's a lot. compared to a lot of MMOs that only give 1-2 updates a year.

I find FFXIV ARR patches rather big. It is just an opinion though.

Now that we have a party finder that actually works (never could use it in 1.0) I think we should no longer need a duty finder, except for maybe the main story quests or some dungeons. It does make for a toxic community when you know the people you are playing with in DF are people you will probably never see again, so why bother being nice? (I am nice, but others will use this as an excuse).

Because duty finder extends to many more servers then just your own server. Chances are high that you won't always find someone on your own server that wants to do X dungeon or primal but you can always get a group in duty finder.

There are many, many 1.0 players that, while fondly remember 1.23, are also content with the new version of the game. It comes as no small annoyance to me that some pretend to represent all. The number of people posting regally here do not, in the slightest, represent the majority, be they 2.0 players, or Legacy members.
That's fine (meant collective we as me and the ones that feel the same as Taei), but do you miss a real economy? Do you miss DoH and DoL being relevant and being able to do content like with Hamlet? I'm not coming in trying to argue and say I'm 100% right and speaking for everyone. I'm voicing a concern that others have and will continue to have, just giving Taei my vote that he's not alone. You can dismiss it all you want and say people around you believe your view and I can say people around me believe my view or Taei's view. This isn't some agenda to destroy FFXIV nor do I really think anyone feels that the concerns will be listened to it's merely venting and letting off steam and hoping for some validation from someone, the feeling of not being alone.

    I am a 1.0 player I much prefer 2.0 over 1.0. The game just works while 1.0 didn't.

1.0 at launch? Didn't like any patch? What did you not like about 1.23? How does the game just work? Specifics would help as we could discuss things at hand and see where our opinions differ and maybe find some middle ground to understanding each other.

Does ESO not have zones too? It's not as if you can walk clear across Tamriel without hitting load-screens.

Slow combat, spell/action lock, 1% drop rate on stuff like darklight, very low primal drop rates, content like hamlet which required 9 drops at a low drop rate which you could never finish unless you were a no lifer, I got 1 seal in 30 runs you needed 9 to even start the relic quest.

Most of the hamlet runs I was on a crafter job usually thats what people shouted for each run was about 25 min of boredom. I would always have the TV on to watch some show while doing this because the game just required you to spam enter to craft items then turn them into a npc which you were usually just crafting by. Spamming enter while watching TV occasionally turning items into a npc was not fun.

You were playing Hamlet wrong if you got that kinda drop rates for seals. (Should of made Militia Gear & achieve High Hamlet Scores)
No item in 1.0 had 1% drop rate and if it did you werent clearing the dungeons fast enough to boost drop rate like intended.
Make it sound like animation lock is a bad thing... made the game look and feel better then this spam fest we have now.
Relics in 1.23 were never made to be completed in a sitting and good deal still were able to obtain them back then. (Like 23% of the server)
Spamming enter while watching tv, has any of that really changed since 2.1? (Can do this more then ever in this version of the game, dont worry its this feature you enjoy in MMOs)
