winning in lvl 30 bracket?

I've been playing in the 30 bracket after getting raged at for not having the best "twink" gear for lvl 40 bracket. I'm constantly getting put in a group of randoms against a premade group of 3, sometimes 4. My server is super dead for PvP, so I can't get a group going. Everyone's too busy selling primals to bads. I can get a bunch of wins against non premades, but those premades just wreck every team I'm on. Kinda wish SE set it up so premades go against premades or something.

'WTF these people in insane gear in lvl50 queue! They only win from gear waaah waaah so unfair!'
'WTF these people in shit gear in lvl40 queue! We only lose from gear waaah waah so unfair!'

The irony of lvl40 twinks seems to be lost on a lot of people.

P.S we made a linkshell on our realm, adding more over time by putting a 4v4 request in party finder if our LS wasnt sufficient. Some people will stick around and we can now do 4v4 every (other) day. If there is a new guy at pvp they just all use pve gear so its more even.
