No more Praetorium in the Duty Roulette!

Maybe? There might be a better solution but I can't think of one. Make it it's own roulette?

There's always a new person who's never been through it that wants to watch the ridiculous amount of cut scenes, which, personally, I'm fine with. The issue I have is the people who create a hostile environment by insulting those on their first run who don't know the dungeon and then making the group wipe time after time because they want to rush through the mobs.

Almost every time I get put in this in the roulette, I just waste a lot of time. People end up leaving and the duty gets abandoned. I'm sure others are having this issue too.

I agree with people having the right to watch cutscenes.

However, I don't think people are going to stop being rude to the people that do it. Maybe humanity will surprise me. I just think there has to be a better way to organize it.

And hey, if you haven't run Praetorium yet, I encourage you to reach out to the community on your server so that you can enjoy your first run. Please don't subject yourself to the whims of the Roulette for it x_x I did, and regretted it.

Taking it out of roulette will not stop people disliking cutscene watchers.

SE can't fix the community, only the individuals themselves can do that.

The problem is that the reward from roulette doesn't justify the actual time of the dungeon with the cutscenes. The reward for the story dungeons at end game need a heavy boost in terms of rewards to justify sitting through them.

I'm never rude against someone who is watching CS, and to be honest, I don't even talk at all. but, usualy, they don't even have a chance to hit a single boss in the whole run. You're watching CS ? You should be ok to watch fight too.

People are too impatient. CS are part of the experience for most games these days, especially FF. The roulette is random and will have new players going through it. Deal with it. If you think the rewards aren't high enough, then don't do the roulette for it. As for Alcyon's comment, saying people who watch CS should be content to watch a fight is just...wrong. They reached the climax of the game, let them enjoy it.

People are too selfish. Killing mobs fast is part of the experience for most games these days, especially FF. The roulette is random and will have veterans going through it. Deal with it. If you think watching the group fight without you is bad, then don't do the roulette for it. As for EpicCid's comment, saying people who want to fight fast should sit 1 minute every 5 minutes is just...wrong. They are trying to be ready for the end of the game, let them enjoy it.

To be honest i don't mind waiting but i can't say for the rest of the party, i usually say "i don't mind" and nothing more because some people get offensive too easy saying like "omfg i have school soon leave him behind" or worse: a tank leave (sometimes both).

People say "skip cutscene and watch in the inn" which is not a bad idea but currently is bugged until 2.2 like i posted before in the bugs section, so if it's your first time and skip the scenes you can get screwed until the fix is out: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...the-first-time.

First time in this dungeon i watched all cutscenes as a healer, i even explained about the bug and linked the thread but they just went in all boss fights without me. I was not trying to be a douche, i even fast clicked all the text without reading just to prevent the bug from happening again but i spent most of the dungeon in the cutscene (fast clicking and not reading just to get out of the cutscene in-time).

Just wanted to comment on this part, a new player will probably not get in this dungeon from the roulette, he'll probably choose the dungeon and only this dungeon in the duty finder just to complete the story quest. But your point still stands, it can go both ways, i don't know how they can fix this (or if they can do anything at all) but putting this huge amount of cutscenes in the same dungeon was not a good idea. They could have made this dungeon a solo instance with the Scion members helping you as NPCs and put the last bosses in a trial like cape westwind.
