It's probably one of then other two bridges in Coerthas. That said, that fadeout at the end tells me he's being introduced as a trial-type fight. Guess we aren't good enough to take on a duelist (a guy that does one-on-one fights) in a one-on-one fight. =/
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Just as I suspected... and I agree that looks more likely that he's a trial type of battle. Perhaps this is exactly how we earn our right to access Ishgard: one must beat Gilgamesh and the goddess Halone will finally deem one worthy to enter.
"After ten years, finally headed to Sharlayan... absolutely stoked"
Yeah, So much of a difference in the Japanese trailer.

You've never taken Gilgamesh on one-on-one in gameplay unless you did "challenges". Every FF game that I've played to date you've always fought him in a party, even in Type 0.
Someone with better ears than I have, can you tell me who is voicing Yugiri in the JP version? She sounds really familiar.
It's strange that I actually loved Y'shtola's VA much better than the JP one! I have to agree Merlwyb on the first few seconds was awful.
Does anyone know what Minfilia was talking about? The real bzzzzzt? My english must be poor..
the real nature of the Echo I think is what she said... it was hard to hear >_<
The real nature/truth about the echo
Is pretty much what she said
3 year later hopefully they finally explain it since it's always been kind of a "here you're special, why? Plot device."
What exactly is big fishing?
