Thancred's new THF/NIN Skills

Thancred, with this, joins Papalymo and Y'sholta in the: break the normal standards cause no f***s are given. I mean seriously, I want what ever shield Y'sholta used and I want to be able to use Aero, Thunder, Fire, Blizzard, Cure, Stone, and Protect while as a Thaumaturge or have the agility of a Ninja while being a coded Gladiator.

Them, and Merlwyb I no longer count as hints to new jobs. All the key characters seem to break the rules to Class association unless they teach you the job, but those are lesser NPCs who are only important for when you learn the jobs.

You mean Conjurer, not Thaumaturge. The OLD CNJ class from pre-Yoshida 1.0, before they added jobs, used basically everything that THM and CNJ use today, and THM was a completely different and unique class that to this day there's nothing similar to.

I was talking about Thaumaturge because that's what Papalymo is supposed to be based on his weapons from what I saw. Y'sholta is the Conjurer, but like I said I'd love for her Shield spell as well.

You have could used this skills also as a THM in old 1.0 if you leveled CNJ high enough. For the element skills CNJ lv 1 was enough to learn them (equip the CNJ weapon the first time and you learned the element skills in the same moment)
So Papalymo is a THM who also tested a bit CNJ

And Yes, the CNJ was originaly the elemental mage, had every element spell as their own.
THM used astral and umbral spells, because the THM in the guild worship Nald'thal, the twin god of live and death.
I wish Yoshida would have give CNJ the BLM job and THM the WHM job and the Necromancer job.

During 1.0 every melee class also had throwing weapons. They were consumable items. It is sad that they went the same way the arrows did in ARR.
Gladiator - Throwing Dagger
Marodeur - Francisca
Pugilist - Chakram
Lancer - Javelin and Azagai

So Thancred use Gladius and throwing daggers, he is 100% Gladiator (who have still a storage of throwing daggers)

The specific CS is after the fight. So nobody would be bothered enough to kick you.

I always saw him as more of an assassin class. Which was in the dats as a class in 1.0

It's funny how clearly desperate everyone is at new classes/jobs (myself included), but you must stop assuming everything in a new trailer hints at a new job. When they have a new job in the works I'm sure they'll announce it or hint at us better. Tbh at the rate they're going new jobs won't be added until the 1st expansion.

Pretty soon we'll see someone in trailer drinking a potion or something and then everyone will scream it hints to a new class.
