Ideas for possible playable races

your chances arent that bad yoshi p. said that he favours a reptilian race for the expansion. though it may not be bangaa but they could look similiar.

as we know for 2.2. there is going to be at least a new NPC race from the far east with sloppy ears. so a bunny alike race like the viera seems to be possible.

Yukes:

yukes are quiet impossible in my opinion. the yukes have totally different head shapes. so if you have a full plate helmet how you are going to design it for yukes? you need to design somewhat of 20 different versions (20 different head shapes) for each full plate helmet to fit the shape of that individual yuke.

no... seems to 99% much much unlikely to me.

They'd be as impossible as a Viera like or any non-human faced species as they'd have to remake helmets to fit them all anyway unless we get Doggie Kruger sundrome and all the snouts magically fit within the helmet.

i doubt we will see really far from the humanoid shape, Vangaa and Ronso will ask to change the boots and some part of the armor too much, will be a huge work, maybe for the second expansion, but so far it seems they have gone with another hybrid race for the First expansion.

Viera or bust. And while I say Viera, I don't entirely mean EXACTLY like how they were pictured in FFXII, just that I'd really like a race that has their look based upon the Viera. I loved Fran in 12, and I liked Viera as a race itself (even if the high-heels thing was... eh), but given the art I've seen of male Viera before, I can say those are more of my reason for wanting them. Male Viera is hng.

Other than that, a previous suggestion of a fox-type humanoid would also be fine. I like foxes, and I liked my fox Elin in TERA.

Baring that, a race like Freya's from FFIX would be cool too. Honestly the kokoroons we have in game already remind me of her in a way, so a race similar to her might not be that far-fetched.
