Your thoughts on the updated 2.2 news

With the new "Letter from the Producer" out and reading it over as well as the beastman quest rewards, I personally can't wait for it.

From what I've read so far, 2.2 will be a somewhat big step in the ffxiv direction as they fix some current problems. Granted, not every problem but some of the problems so far as they also add new features in the game.

But how do you all feel about it?

Personally feels like "More of the same" to me.

I'm not looking forward to grinding beastment every single day for a few weeks just to buy a mount. So chances are I wont be participating in them, new dungeons are another set of instances. I'm excited for the gardening and a few other things but overall there isn't much for me in the update.

I actually am looking forward to beastman dailies. I enjoy them. Also looking forward to gardening and seeing what these new master crafting things are and what they'll actually do. (Cautiously pessimistic on this, given Yoshi's comments in the past on his plans for crafting.)

New grindy quests and new instances... you do realize you've just described the bulk of the content you will be seeing in pretty much every subsequent update to the game for the rest of its lifetime right?

vanity sounds cool, more beast tribe dailies will be cool(even tho i havent finished the current ones), new turns of coil seem legit. new tomes, unlocked myths tho? i think it might be too soon to be making older content irrelevant but time will tell. overrall im excited for the patch

Easy Stuff
- new dailies
- farming new tomes
- farming T1-4 for Allagan
- farming myth gear

Challenging Stuff
- clearing/farming Leviathan EX, Mog EX, Twintania

Really Hard Stuff
- clearing New Coil turns

CT, Hard and EX Primals will probably be dead to me unless my friends need help with them - and these are basically all i do every week after Coil.
