Yeah, im actually more interested in their 3 groups on Phase 2 than bringing 3 tanks. But yes the end is pretty funny.

The third tank is in full DPS gear (look at his HP), so they're not really doing a "3 tank strat". It's more like a "slightly gimped DPS strat".
Like you said, it seems they just brought him because they didn't have another dps who could replace him.

I don't understand why they're not using the WAR to MT though.
PLD is SUCH a better OT in that fight.
As OT, the PLD can stoneskin the WAR without cast interruption, can cover if WAR is low as DeathSentence is cast, and can chain stun dreadknights.
PLD is superior to WAR in pretty much every aspect for the OT role on Twintania.



The offtank and a pet can take a fireball between just the two of them, so they're likely using the "3 groups strat" in phase 2 to keep the healers out of as many fireballs as they can as well as potentially give themselves more time to kill a conflag if the offtank gets a fireball.
