/clap You win the worst metaphor award! These same people will never understand that rank has nothing to do with challenge. They're just the kinds of people who can only understand that 50 is greater than 30. They don't understand the point of a race in which all the cars are equal spec. It doesn't even register to them why people can't use rocket engines and nitro.
They probably would fare poorly in the R30 dungeon if it was capped at 30, which is why they reserve the right to take their R50's.
Because screw you if you tell them they fail. They're R50's, the best in the game!
I am also against forced if you ask me. More options the better, as long as the rewards are increased with the increased challenge, which is where we don't see eye to eye, but that is another matter and really a side effect of it.

lol! Because we all know that finishing a r30 dungeon, even when capped, is going to be more of an achievement than running a r50 dungeon.
You are so harsh but also to the point lol. I also think that leveling up is not a achievement in itself and that dungeons/raids/mission content should be rewarded with skills and not out-leveling the content. Therefore an optional cap which allows both and rewards accordingly is a nice middle, no?
I personally don't mind it the way it is. The reason why I kept some of the classes I was interested at lower levels was so I could experience some of this mid level content on those classes when they added it. What was the point of powering everything to 50 when there was nothing to do once there (outside of a few NMs lol)?
Now that they have added the mid level dungeons, I will finally pick these classes back up and be able to experience the content designed for mid level players! I think that if they added all of the fluff like scaling down characters, they would most likely try to scale down gear as well. I wouldn't mind if they added features like those sometime, but they really wanted to get this content out to us as fast as they could.
increased rewards for increased challenge yes
but that challenge should be by RAISING the challenge of the dungeon, not be imposing restrictions on players
a difficulty slider would be better suited for this task
it remains optional, and you can easily do things like adjust drop rates and such due to the mobs being higher leveled

Personally I'm not upset at the decision to leave the dungeons uncapped as long as the rewards are Unsellable and Untradeable. I'm glad I can go into the lvl 25 dungeon with my marauder and explore it, hell I'd rather open world dungeons in the first place.
While I understand why people would want it capped, and personally would have no issues either way, as long as the rewards are something you can't sell the items or the dungeon is somehow penalized in loot pool due to your extremly high rank.
See what I mean when I say they are incapable of understanding anything more than 50 > 30?
Total wall in the face. Can't even understand what's going on.
Good players would absolutely love a challenge at rank 30. And the thing is, we're good enough players to play that challenge at the level its designed to be played at.
There is no reason why the R30 dungeon has to be a kiddie pool while the R50 is the "achievement field."
You don't understand that. You can't. Because 30 < 50 and that's all you get.
