FFXI/XIV Apkallu for sure.
FFXI/XIV Apkallu for sure.

I don't classify Gilgamesh as a monster, if you do, then Gilgamesh is my favorite.
Otherwise I'll chose Tonberry!
Dapper Zombies, of course.

During 1.0, they healed us, they gave us protect and we killed them for crafting mats
I hope they get a comeback again
Yes, I loved the old elementals better than the new ones we have
I hope SE give this model to the intelligent elementals who speak with the conjurers

I was half expecting them to turn into what the pixies/faeries were in FFXI. Having them assist us only if we don't massacre them.
I could be mistaken, but I could have swore I also saw some of the old 1.0 elementals models in some sort of cutscene in ARR. However, all the ones on the fields are modeled after the FFXI elementals.
Also, surprised no one said Goblins or Goobbues yet.
For me personally, it is a close one between Coeurls (Any series; XIV coeurls look cool) and Tulfaires (XI), but Ill go Tulfaires. They look cool and molted plumage is an awesome ready move on the jug pet.

How did this thread go so long without mentioning the wondrous Goobbue?
Because this exists:

Classic cactuar!
The ones from FF12 were cute though:
In terms of overhaul redesign though, I really liked the Malboros from FF12.
They were kinda cute and the way they open up when you approach them was really cool.
