Musketeer in Through the Maelstrom Patch or Huge Tease?

Seriously guys. They're not going to add a new class every other patch. Yoshi's said that Musketeer will likely be one of the first classes added after the launch of 2.0, but that probably just means in the first expansion pack. There will probably be another class or two as well, and hopefully a handful of jobs, but now would be exceptionally early. Also, Merlwyb always has her gun and we already know why she'd specifically be featured in this patch. This is way beyond reaching.

Yoshi suggested Musketeer as the first class, he also explicitly promised one JOB (specifically) before the expansion, which would be in an update. I imagine this is the basis by which people are getting excited.

Also doesn't Merlwyb's gun look different and more boring than that? Is she getting an upgrade? I thought she sported a bland silver twin barrel.

I thought she's just upposed to be a lalafell with long ears - but now that you mention it, lalafell have much shorter ears than that...

That "viera" like race we're getting hyped about. I'm all for it. But please look much closer at this larger image.

Is it just me, or should that ear/horn be visible on the other side as well?
Even with that slight angle, look very closely, we should be able to see another on the right side of the body if there was two. It really looks like there's just 1 ear/horn/whatever on the left side of that persons head.

This is correct, though he has explicitly stated a single "Job" will arrive in a patch before expansion.

It's a bunny girl. The other ear would not be visible from that angle. Notice the crease on the cowl. That is more in line with the shape of a rabbit's ear then a rounded horn.

While that's true, I think he would have been wise to tease us about it before hand if that was actually the case for this patch - Adding a new class like this is something that would cause a lot of people to re-subscribe or continue subscribing, especially when we are at an "inbetween patch" lull as we are currently due to 2.1 not introducing much new end game content. The amount of hype new classes always builds is intense, and I honestly feel like he would have let something float out there to get people going if it was actually going to be released in patch 2.2.

Not sure what game you're playing, but I don't think it's XIV.

SE may call it 2.x but it's a completely rewritten game starting from scratch with everything but the story so it's effectively 1.x.
