Disappointing. As a new player in 2.0, I regret missing out on all the lore the vets got to enjoy. There doesn't seem to be a resource that tells us about the stories that shaped the world we missed out on, just the occasional veiled hint or half nod.

I guess that means we'll never find out about things like what happened to Khrimm and Fye in the Gridania storyline sadly (or the 'secret mission' his parents were prepared to sacrifice their very lives in Gridania and to abandon their son to the elementals for).
