Should have probably left the aoe PLD bit out, that was a last-minute effort that occurred shortly before posting this. Ideally, the off GCD inner beast and scaling shield swipe were my main focus'.See that was the problem with warrior before. Abilities scaled off gear and not content. That's why the damage reduction was important, it scales with content.
War has better AoE threat. PLD has better mitigation. I have a hard time thinking about where there would actually be a problem with this..

I mean I feel ya, having played both War and Pld through turn 4 now, War is much easier for AoE threat. I run dailies on War because DPS can nuke the F out of mobs and I don't need to worry about it. It's a lot easier for War, so I'm not really arguing with you.
It's just I don't see where the issue is. Our PLD on turn 4 complains I always take the bugs, I'm like I did overpower twice, I'm sorry lol. But that's fine because he needs to run over and get threat on knight/soldier asap so dps can start nuking them once all the bugs are dead. Same with phase 4 and 6, OT grabs pretty much everything so War is perfect for that.
I think they compliment each other quite well in 2 tank situations, but I understand where you're coming from. I'd like to see Off-GCD Inner Beast in action before I decide if that's better or not. Shield swipe could use some love, I think maybe along the lines of something else to use in OT situations, some other suggestions floating around had it part 3 of a Riot Blade combo which isn't a bad idea.
