Would you like the one time in Titan EX or the one in Coil t5? Oh the joys of healing those two fights on PUG. This one party I was in for TEX, no matter what it was the healer's fault. DPS/Tank hit by a landslide? Healer's fault, blame him because you're lying on the ground way below everyone else. Killed by the Gaol? It was the healers fault for not switching into Cleric Stance and DPSing the Gaol while healing the tank. Fell off the ledge during a jump? Yep, it was the healer's fault again. By the time we went through this twice, I was done and fed up, and went on a three minute long rant before quitting the group. Hope they enjoyed reading it, it was particularly well worded without a hint of obscenity.

Also, that Tank needs to learn that not all healers are comfortable doing DoTs, especially if they're aren't Level 50. I mean, you all were running Tam Tara and its not that hard...but if I were in that situation and if the Tank isn't holding threat or is taking a massive amount of damage, then I'm going to worry more about heals than throwing dots..

I've had more than one occasion where i thought it was safe to throw dots, but the tank couldn't hold aggro, or was taking way too much damage, and that gcd could get people killed.

Got WP in duty roulette, i thought - easiest instance, what could ever go wrong here? I was very wrong. 4k hp blm, 3k hp mnk and i50 (class quest gear) paladin, who wanted a fast run.
PLD makes the first pull using the ranged attack, takes 3 groups and stops to flash with like 15% hp remaining. I use benediction to save him, then i notice he used that 10s duration skill to become damage immune. CD is out, i start healing him, but mobs change targets, too much incoming damage, me and tanker die, dps remain alive a bit longer. Tanker revives, without waiting rushes back to kill the rest, i am cut out of him because of the walking stalker - he die again.
We go together to that pull, finish remaining mobs, when only 1 mob is alive and he has regen on - he rushes and pulls 2 more groups (who went after me) - again wipe. He said i should not use regen before he pulls.
We go back, he pulls 2 groups, but that seemed to be too much damage and we wipe again. He quits the team. Me and 2 dps wait 3 more min and vote abandon. I never seen him using any cd (i know pld has some repeatable cd to reduce damage) and i am not sure if i50 pld can tank 3 pulls in WP. Also two dps never used aoe, i do not really understand what was he making those pulls for. We quit before reaching the 1st boss, my 3rd failed instance in ffxiv.
Later this day, random story dungeon - at least half of team was 1st time and were lost before we reached the 2nd boss. I mentioned this, but tanker thought of rushing a fast run, so we started the combat with 1 pld, 2 hls and 2 newbie dps. http://oi59.tinypic.com/nz5bpt.jpg this happened next, with 3 players standing near the entrance and watching the soccer.
I am quite a new healer, but i do not think my mistakes were biggest ones in either cases.

Sorry IxSch. WP is just BRUTAL when undergeared teams keep trying to speed run. Really after the first wipe can't they just slow down?

My most frustrating experience in this game was still my first dozen WP runs before I had any 50+ gear. So many tanks that would gather 2-4 groups and die repeatedly while yelling at me to "CONCENTRATE AND HEAL HARDER".

Had a nice story but this derp 1000char limit ruined it.
THM ninja pulled boss tank while he was view cutscene, got kicked, replaced.
after that double dps dc and messy as hell fight.

OK. I decided to read this thread to help me understand my primary character better and now I'm just panicked!!!!! Maybe I should have picked a different class for my first character.

I am very new to this game, like 3 days now. So far I am loving it. I went from STO (BORING) to Star Wars The Old Republic (Excellent but getting stale) to this. This game has so much content and diversity that its a little overwhelming to start with. So far, I have not had any healing horror stories, but having said that my character is only Level 16.

Don't let our stories scare you away. The tales posted here represent some of the most extreme situations involving exceptional losses of communication or extremely hostile individuals. Most groups you will meet in dungeons are fairly reasonable, especially after you have adjusted to healing in this game. It's true that you may run into some unpleasant characters from time to time, but you can always find a good linkshell or free company on your server if you don't want to leave your groups up to chance. I personally pug the vast majority of my content and rarely run into parties that will not at least make an effort to cooperate. My Pharos Sirius example was one out of a mountain of successful dungeons. You'll be fine as a healer as long as you stick with it.
