Just wondering if anyone could answer a few questions i have for the game as ive been playing the beta on ps4 the last week an really enjoyed the game, an was thinking of buying the game when it comes out in april.

First is ive read this game requires subscription fees is this true an what benifits do u gain from them or does it only allow you to play the game?

Second do you have a limit on charcters you can create an do they each require subscription fees to play them? ( if ps4 requires subscription fees )

You must be new to MMOs if you're not sure how a lot work.

Currently, FF14 is not F2P so there is a subscription based play. You pay for the initial game itself then there is subscription fee that allows access to the game on a month by month basis. You can pay up front for additional months as well.

As for character limit, I currently show 3/8 characters so I'm going to assume that the current limit is 8 characters. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

As Failia mentioned, FFXIV is subscription based, where you have to pay a regular fee to play the game. How much you have to pay and how many characters you can have depends on what membership 'tier' you choose though -'entry' or 'standard'. 'Entry' level membership is the cheapest option but also restricts you to only having one character per server (or 'world' as they're called) with up to 8 characters maximum. 'Standard' level membership is more expensive but you can have up to 8 characters per server with a maximum forty characters total (although why anyone would ever want or need to have that many characters I have no idea! ).
