    That's the auto translate function. Start typing the name of an ability and press tab (For example, Type: Divi[tab]) then select Divine Seal from the list. The game will translate the ability into the right language for all other users clients. It's an effective way to communicate with the Japanese players, for example. The red and green brackets are there to show which words are being autotranslated.

    It's also useful for making sure you're spelling the abilities correctly in your macros! (Took me forever to spell Adloquium correctly, and I'm still not even sure that's right )
