    Pharos Sirius / Duty Roulette

Noticing that whenever I get this as my daily roulette people automatically drop even before the first pull.

I waited quite awhile (+30mins) and have to wonder...
Do people even join in-battle queue for high level roulette anymore? Or just that since that it is Pharos Sirius itself being in the pool that people are still skiddish about joining?

There was someone who was in my group who was new to the dungeon said for the past week he's been trying to complete this place but as soon as he joins, people leave.

I honestly don't feel Pharos is a huge threat - it's pretty easy in my opinion and I've both healed and did damage(mnk/brd) on this fight.

Just makes me feel bad that there are people who want to experience the game and the dungeons but are held back because "Pharos," is something to be feared.

I have only finished it once, with my two FC mates and a random from Duty Finder, but I would much rather spend the time in Duty Roulette on other dungeons. I hate tanking that dungeon. I will try, but most groups I enter will disband before we finish the first boss, usually 3-4 tries on them, and I do nothing to encourage repeated attempts. Even Siren herself is not as difficult as that first boss, in my opinion. I just think the encounter needs to be re-evaluated before I ever attempt this with random party members, much less those who are much closer to the minimum iLvl than I am.

U can speed run haukke hm, which is nothing but a minor dps check.....or you can do pharos Sirius.....? I think squaresoft have addressed the reward imbalance between pharos and other lvl 50 dungeons though. Expect a boost to gained myth in 2.2 maybe?

Hope so because it's so tedious just because people bounce all the time. xD

I don't understand this at all. If the DPS just switch to the adds immediately and burn them ASAP, the first boss is a cakewalk. The thing about Pharos Sirius is that it forces you to actually follow the mechanics on 3/4 bosses, and apparently this is just too much to ask of most people.

I don't mind Pharos, but I've had it twice for roulette where we've gone through and been unable to beat Siren because the healer is having trouble, so I waste 1.5 hours and don't even get any tomes out of it. That's probably why people leave because, well, you can't really know until you get to the end if your party can beat Siren.

Peoples fear of Pharos seems pretty ridiculous to me. 6k+ HP Paladins dropping out of this accounter because they fear it? Cmon...
When i play my duty roulette (usually going as healer) i encourage people to stay in and usually we beat it pretty smoothly with 1 or 2 or even not a single wipe.
It's not hard to focus adds on first Boss, only kill one egg on the second and kick the mass debuff on Siren. Those are pretty much the only crucial moves in the dungeon.

When I'm tanking it, we usually clear it.
When I'm DPSing or Healing it, we usually don't (typically the tank quits on us either at the door or at the second boss, or we just plain run out of time on Siren).

Either way it's by FAR the most tedious of the endgame dungeons on the Roulette.

The only problem with Pharos Sirius is people trying to zerg through it.
First boss, concentrate on taking down adds, and if you have stacks, let them dissipate before dpsing boss further...
Second boss, leave the eggs alone or only kill one egg when it lights up (speckled egg preferred I believe)...
Third boss, might as well be considered trash as it's too easy...
Siren, silence lunatic voice and prevent the crawling mobs from stunning people... And don't be afraid to use healer LB if things look bad...

I typically just make a judgment call based on the HP of the members when we port in. If everyone has like 3200 HP, I'll drop. Otherwise I'll see how it goes through the first boss; if the healer is solid, generally you'll be fine. I agree with Mero-ix though; I have gone all the way to Siren three or four times and not been able to kill it because the healer couldn't handle it. Very frustrating situation.
