They are not confused but most probably ex-11 players as the term is lot or pass on items in there.
No joke, any time I go into CT I don't talk about gear even if directly asked. If people get insistent I immediately look up if some of the names are in an FC or not. I've lied twice because I can smell whats going to happen next after being prodded with questions about loot.
Nothings came of it yet, but I know the day will come that I can see 4-5 FC people ready to kick me cause I'm lotting blm or tank or whatever, and I say "yeah nah already got this week" to avoid being kicked.
Then I'll lot an item and there will probably be massive drama.
But should I just tell them and get kicked beforehand? I'd rather not. Anyone who I can tell is grouped, and is demanding to know what I wish to lot, has absolutely no good intentions for it.
This is the state we have attained.

Only that once you get a lot, you can't lot again for the rest of the week. If the booted you, it was probably for some other reason.Instead of turning this into a butthurt rant, I laugh at how stupid of a move it was for them. Someone wanted to lot tank gear from a non-tank class, so they boot a tank that can't lot agains them for the next two bosses to pick up one that can. I hope the replacement tank outlotted them for some gear as well.

I would do this, but I would also rub some more salt on the sore wounds by telling them that I would do it to them again in a heartbeat when given the chance.

Going to play devil's advocate a bit and say it could have not been about the gear at all. You did say it was right after the boss. That fc might not have thought you were pulling your weight. I'm surprised no one else has said this given what you posted. You don't really know why they kicked you.
Are you sure they kicked you because you won an item? Without the full story it's really hard to tell. I would have thought if another member in their party wanted tank gear, they would have kept you as you no longer had the potential to roll on gear because you'd won a piece. A new tank could most likely win another roll against them. Kicking you for that reason seems highly illogical.
